Tips for Models, Actors Dancers, and Entertainers

Since our business is based on education for the performing artists, We are going to try and start posting some tips for all of you!!

The entertainment business is just that, it is a business. I you want to become successful in what you do you must educate yourself, take classes, network, build your resume and portfolio, and maintain a professional persona.

Just a few tips -
*Be aware of who you associate yourself with and work with. There are many people in this industry that are not trust-worthy that can do damage to your career. Some warning signs of this are people that embellish the truth, give vague answers, are not up front if you have questions, or are derogatory to or about others in the industry.
*Research who you want to work with. Don't be afraid to ask questions, look at their websites, or social media sites.
*Look for people that are involved in the community and make sure they have a good reputation with others in the industry but remember to get your information from credible sources (gossip runs wild in this industry).
*Ask for references or do your some research before you ask for their advice, help, or representation or services.
*Decide whether this is a hobby or a career. If you want to get paid you must know the business first. You must learn, develop your craft, get representation, and treat it as you would any other career or business.
*Be aware of yourself, keep a clean reputation in public, on social media sites, at events. Remember people in the industry are always watching! It is when you think they are not watching that they are.
* Don't be afraid to stick to your values or dis-associate with someone. People will want to work with you more if they know you are professional and have integrity.

We hope you all find this helpful and we look forward to educating you all some more!!
